Radically Positive Amicable Divorce Plan
When most couples decide to divorce, they think it is necessary to hire family lawyers, and when that happens, the family will never be the same. Family lawyers are trained to be adversarial, even cruel, to win for their clients. Then, after the divorce is settled, the family has been so damaged by the process that the chances of a positive co-parenting experience seem impossible to achieve.
Everyone says they want an amicable divorce, but no one knows how to do it. So I devised a family-friendly protocol that guides families toward ideal outcomes by having a marriage therapist work as your divorce mediator. Working with a therapist keeps things on the high road. Once we reach an area where we need to turn it over to lawyers, you hire collaborative attorneys, who will then schedule a mediation for you. This is how we do it with zero family lawyers involved. It is much less expensive, too.
Also included is a 'living' Excel spreadsheet for you to share and use, where each of you can write down the various forms of shared property you would like to divide, how you would like to divide them, and then negotiate a final outcome.
I hope you enjoy this 82-page plan, plus the spreadsheet that I designed for your family.
