We have never had more ways to save information.

That doesn’t mean we are maintaining the record.

Screenshots survive. Emails survive. Photographs survive. Meeting minutes, text messages, recordings, public records and half-finished notes survive.

And somehow, we still lose the story.

The Work Between the Information grew from journalist and editor Nichole Richardson’s attempt to understand why—and from her experience launching The Florissant Front Page, a hyperlocal digital newspaper in Florissant, Missouri.
