Wilton Armetale "Chippendale" Oval Serving Platter

This tray is crafted from Armetale, which is a proprietary aluminum-based alloy developed in Columbia, PA, designed to look and feel like traditional pewter but w/o the lead.

This piece was made around the 1970s and is still popular for the material it is made out of.  Armetale is the silver mimic that stays hotter longer for hot foods, as well as Colder longer for cold foods.
