Flipped Sides is a symmetrical triangle shawl that is worked horizontally from the right corner to the left in stockinette stitch that is separated into sections by creating stripes with lateral braids worked from both the right and wrong sides.
It is designed for each side to be an opposite mirror of the other, but could easily be adapted for a single color or more than 2 colors.
The pattern includes instructions for making 2 different sizes, Small and Large. The periwinkle/dark blue sample is the Large shawl. The Small shawl will have fewer stockinette sections.
This shawl was designed in collaboration with Treehouse Knits to feature their Moana collection, launching August 17th, 2025 at 5pm Pacific. It features 21 tonals and 3 variegateds for so many pairing options. Treehouse Knits will also have kits available for purchase that will include the pattern.
You can find the kits here while the Moana collection is open:

Additional information:
Gauge is important for this project, particularly if making the Small size of the shawl. If your gauge differs, the amount of yarn used in each section will be different and you may run out of yarn before you reach the midway point or end of the shawl.
