This formulation sheet has been carefully designed to create a rich yet balanced mineral cream, combining traditional lipid ingredients with modern humectants and stabilising systems. It brings together the natural feel of beef tallow with the mineral presence of magnesium chloride, supported by a well-structured emulsion for consistency and performance.
This is not just a basic cream. It is a structured formulation that demonstrates how to properly incorporate magnesium chloride into an emulsion while maintaining stability, texture, and performance.
The base is built on a combination of Glyceryl Stearate and Montanov 68, creating a stable oil-in-water emulsion with a smooth, creamy consistency. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride works alongside 100% beef tallow to provide glide, richness, and a conditioned after-feel without excessive heaviness.
To support hydration and overall formulation balance, this system includes Sodium PCA, Propanediol, and Honey Powder, which help retain moisture and reduce the dry or tight feel that can sometimes be associated with mineral-based products.
Magnesium chloride flakes are incorporated into the water phase in a controlled manner, ensuring proper dispersion without compromising the emulsion structure. This is a key part of the formulation and is handled with clear step-by-step guidance inside the sheet.
The formula is stabilised with Xanthan Gum and supported with Sodium Phytate, helping maintain consistency and improve overall formulation robustness. Vitamin E is included to support oil phase stability, while Euxyl PE 9010 provides broad-spectrum preservation suitable for this type of system.
A light fragrance oil can be added to customise the final sensory profile.
