The Old Kingdom of Egypt is one of the most remarkable periods in ancient Egyptian history, often referred to as the "Age of the Pyramids". It lasted from around 26 centuries BCE to 21 centuries BCE and includes the 3rd through the 6th Dynasties.

The Old Kingdom is best known for its massive pyramid constructions, especially the Pyramids of Giza.

For this video, I gathered the raw DNA of a 26 century BC male from Nuerat in Egypt. This genome may help shed light on the genetic structure of Ancient Egyptians.
