Either lace weight or fingering weight yarns can be used. For a larger scarf, use larger yarns with bigger needles.
Beads? Yes, there are places to put beads, places to put more beads, or the option to ignore beads altogether. Knitter’s choice!
If you work one pattern section per month, there will be plenty of time to finish and block your scarf for holiday wearing or gifting.
