Net Worth Tracker

A net worth tracker that keeps history, for anyone who wants the curve rather than today's number.

Assets and liabilities each get a categorised list with a share of total and a second column in USD at a rate you set. Once a month you copy two totals into a snapshot row. Thirty-six of those rows build a trend with a three-month average through it, the months that went backwards counted, and the average monthly change.

THE PART NOBODY ELSE BUILDS

The snapshot rows are typed rather than linked, and that is deliberate. If each month pulled live from your holdings, then revaluing your car today would silently rewrite last March, and the history you bought the file for would quietly stop being true. History has to survive editing the present, and the only way to guarantee that is for it not to be a formula. One number tells you where you are. Thirty-six tell you which way you are going.
