Which schemes are included in the dataset?

Every major residential, commercial, hotel and student accommodation scheme is included, as well as most if not all of the smaller schemes too.

What information does the dataset provide?

For all schemes, the dataset show the following:

• Developer (including link to their website)
• Architect (including link to their website)
• Current status of scheme
• Ward and neighbourhood of the city the development is in
• Key milestone dates for the scheme: e.g. when it was given planning consent, when it started construction, etc.
• Planning reference (including link to planning application)
• Co-ordinates (including link to location on Google Maps)

For residential developments, the data shows how many apartments are in each scheme as well as the unit mix (number of studios, 1, 2 and 3 beds). Similarly, for student accommodation schemes, the data shows how many studios, 'twodios', clusters and apartments are included in each proposed scheme.

How far back does the data go?

Every major scheme proposed since January 2015 is included in the dataset, but there are also some schemes included that were first proposed as far back as 2010.

​Does the data cover the whole of Greater Manchester?

At the moment, the datasets cover the entire Manchester area within the M60.

How often is the dataset updated?
