The Amazing RoboTeam (A4 Print Book)
This colourful story covers diversity and disability in a fun and accessible way. It emphases that the
friends are perfect as they are, but they get some extra help from their robot parts. At the end of the day they can cast off their robot parts and be their perfect selves again. The central theme “Because we all need a little help..” Alludes to their robot aids but also to the help they bring to others. The emphasis is on teamwork and empathy. Covering neurodiversity, physical and emotional differences the story explores our worth and power to conquer our limitations and challenges together.
The RoboTeam is a group of animal friends with unique characteristics and challenges:
Paquita is a Desert Dog, cruelly dismissed by the farmer because she cannot hear his
commands, because she was born deaf in one ear.
Hallie is a caring horse. She was blinded in one eye in an accident when she was a foal.
DigiDog cannot always read what people are feeling so he has a FeelBot that helps him.
Enzo is a lovable eagle with a wonky wing that makes him fly in circles.
Mousey is a little mouse with a big heart, but he needs to learn the power of saying sorry.

"Wonderful read, great story for children. My Daughter (age 6) really enjoyed reading this story and we have now read it several times! She loved all the characters, especially digidog and is looking forward to their next adventure!" Ellie, Dorset UK
"A Wonderful, Inclusive Adventure! The Amazing RoboTeam is a fantastic story that truly celebrates diversity, teamwork, and the power of embracing our differences. As a parent, I especially appreciate how the book includes characters with a range of abilities and disabilities in a natural, empowering way. It shows kids that everyone has something special to offer, and that heroism comes in many forms.
My daughter loves books, and she had such a great time listening and reading. Her favourite character was Mousey because she identified with his character. This book has quickly become a favourite in our home, and I’d happily recommend it to any family looking for an exciting, uplifting, and inclusive read."

"This is such a kind and much-needed story that explains that our "flaws" are actually what make us special. ..I felt so bad for Paquita when the farmer called her "useless," but I loved how quickly her friends supported her and decided to go to the city to see Doctor Ablemaker for some "upgrades"— it's a brilliant metaphor for the importance of seeking help and support. What truly captivated me were the illustrations by Miranda Pothecary. They are simply magical and fit the story perfectly. The pictures were drawn by hand with pencils, which gives the book incredible warmth and cosiness. Every character is so expressive: you can see the kindness in Hallie's eyes and the determination in Paquita. Miranda's handmade style makes even the robots and "upgrades" feel like part of a fairy tale, rather than something cold and technical. Thanks to her drawings, it's very easy to feel like you're right there with the heroes as they walk through the desert under the bright sun. I definitely recommend this book! It teaches children (and grown-ups!) very important lessons: not to be ashamed of your differences, to be loyal friends, and to remember that every one of us needs a little help sometimes. And thanks to the marvellous illustrations, reading this story is an absolute delight!" Yevheniia Ponomarova, Berks UK
