Ziggy Played with Yarn is a stranded colour work cowl, featuring a zig zag pattern and gradual shifts in the dominant colour.

The cowl is cast on using a provisional cast on, knit in a tube, and the two ends are grafted together using the kitchener stitch.

Finished size 136 cm / 53.5” around / 14.5 cm / 5.75” wide

Yarn Fingering / 4 ply weight in two colours, 400 metres of each. 

Sample uses Studio Donegal Darnie (100% wool fingering / 4 ply weight, woollen spun and two ply structure, 410m / 100g)
Colour 1 shade 8811 (blue/grey)1 skein
Colour 2 shade 8807 (pink) 1 skein

Gauge 33 sts & 30 rows per 10 cm / 4” in stranded colourwork pattern.

Needles 3.5 mm circular needles or DPNs, or size needed to achieve gauge.
Notions waste yarn, crochet hook, darning needle, spare circular needle / DPNs
