SINCERELY DEAD - DYING, TO KNOW JESUS
The Bible (KJB) presents, from the beginning, that the LORD God (JEHOVAH Elohiym) had created the first man, Adam, from “the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Gen. 2:7 KJB). Eve, Adam’s wife, was created from “one of [Adam’s] ribs”, and she too also lived, and even became “the mother of all living” (Gen. 3:20 KJB). Both, from that moment, had by God’s grace, conditional life (Gen. 2:16-17 KJB). However, the moment they sinned, and transgressed against the life-commandment of the Godhead, to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they would suffer the penalty of iniquity, and die. But was this their end? How are we still here?
This book will consider the questions (and answers that the Bible gives) concerning the topic of the state of the dead. Such questions as:
What happens to a person / being who dies?
How many types of death does the Bible mention?
Does mankind have an immortal soul / spirit, as much of those in the world teach?
Where does a person / being go once they die?
What about Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, Limbo, Afterlife, Nirvana, Astral Plane? Do those things exist?
This present written material is designed to consider these things from the primary source of information, namely, the holy scriptures (KJB; King James Bible, English, being translated from the HOT (Hebrew Old Testament) and the GNT TR (Greek New Testament Textus Receptus)), though other post-canonical source materials will give additional information, which may or may not be in full harmony with scripture. When considering the non-canonical extra-biblical materials, always compare them to the source of all truth (Jhn. 17:17 KJB); the living word of God (Isa. 8:20; 1 Pet. 4:11 KJB).
This labour of love (unto God & mankind) is also designed to appeal to the widest audience as possible, so that all may, “... sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1 Pet. 3:15 KJB), placing these things into a simplified form, for ease of use and reference.
