REID SCHIRMER – HIGHER

9 Original Songs | Australian Rock & Acoustic Ballads

100% Australian Written & Produced

HIGHER is a powerful collection of nine original songs from Australian singer-songwriter Reid Schirmer, delivering an electrifying combination of heartfelt acoustic guitar ballads and hard-edged rock. Written and produced in Australia, this album showcases a distinctive musical journey where raw emotion meets driving guitars, passionate vocals and the unmistakable energy of authentic rock 'n' roll.

From the intimacy of stripped-back acoustic arrangements to the explosive power of a full rock band, HIGHER explores the emotional highs and lows of life, love, heartbreak and the determination to rise above it all. Every song brings its own personality, blending melodic storytelling with the grit, attitude and musical fire of classic rock.

At the heart of the album are three standout tracks: Higher, Love Long Gone and Faded Photos. Together, these songs represent the album's musical diversity, capturing the spirit of a recording that moves effortlessly between tenderness and raw rock energy.

The title track, Higher, stands at the forefront of the collection, embodying the album's bold identity and setting the stage for an unforgettable musical experience.

Love Long Gone and Faded Photos add further depth to the album, with titles that evoke the universal experiences of love, loss, memories and the passage of time. They complement the album's combination of emotional acoustic songwriting and powerful electric rock arrangements.

What makes HIGHER distinctive is its refusal to be confined to a single musical style. One moment, the listener is drawn into the warmth and intimacy of acoustic guitar; the next, the music erupts into the driving rhythms, electric guitars and uncompromising attitude of a hard-edged rock band.

There is something refreshingly genuine about music that embraces both vulnerability and power. HIGHER celebrates that contrast, offering nine original compositions that reflect Reid Schirmer's passion for songwriting, musical expression and the enduring appeal of guitar-driven rock.

Proudly Australian-made, written and produced, this album is a celebration of original Australian music. It combines the storytelling traditions of the singer-songwriter with the unmistakable excitement of rock 'n' roll.

Whether you appreciate heartfelt acoustic ballads, melodic guitar-driven rock or the sheer energy of a powerful rock band, HIGHER brings these musical worlds together in one compelling collection.
