Bigger is Better

The C-5 Galaxy a large, long-range, heavy-lift strategic airlifter in the U.S. Air Force inventory, designed to transport oversized and heavy cargo, including military equipment and other aircraft, over intercontinental distances. It is one of the largest aircraft in the world, characterized by its enormous size (247 feet long), four turbofan engines, high T-tail, and the ability to operate on short runways due to its "kneeling" landing gear. Modernized versions, the C-5M Super Galaxy, have improved reliability and are projected to remain in service until 2040.
