Finding the Names — Installment 90 (Roll 11, 1846–1847) — FREE
Installment 90 of Finding the Names continues Roll 11 — New Orleans Inward Manifests, 1846–1847 (National Archives Microfilm Publication M1895, Roll 11, NAID 173892418), images 601–720: 816 people on 62 manifests, transcribed name by name from the original records at the National Archives. The project now stands at 58,023 entries.
Inside: the book opens by finishing the Richmond Parthian — her continuation sheet brings entries 63–75, her permission counts "Seventy five Slaves" exactly, and entry 62's surname, cut off in the last book, is recovered: Charles Young, 21. The barque Hermitage left Baltimore under three manifests sworn the same day — 87 people on one hull. The Phoenix carries a man named Robinson Crusoe, 20, out of Petersburg. Tom Green and Louisa Johnson are each marked with an X and the single word "Dead." Molly, 12, was added to the Walton's manifest after the bark cleared customs, in the deputy collector's own hand. And Edwin, 18, papered out of Galveston, was certified at New Orleans as "not on board."
This download contains the full book (PDF, 449 pages, large print) AND the complete name list for this installment as a spreadsheet (CSV) — every name as written, with ship, date, age, height, and the manifest image number, so any entry can be checked against the original scan.

Every name is transcribed by hand from the National Archives' own scans of the original manifests. Where a manifest and its certificate disagree, we print both. Nothing is guessed, and nobody is left out.
