The Next Bite Goal System
The Next Bite: The Goal System
Big goals. Bite-sized next steps.
You do not need another planner telling you to “be more disciplined.”
You need a system that can hold the big picture without making you stare at the whole thing every day.
The Next Bite: Your 12-Week Life Season is a 61-page reusable life-planning system designed to help you decide what matters, turn one major ambition into a workable map, adapt the plan to your real capacity, and keep moving even when motivation disappears.
Think of it as a 12-week operating system for your life.
You are the CEO.
Your life is the portfolio.
Your season is the strategy.
And today?
You only need to find the next Bite.
What makes The Next Bite different?
Most goal planners start with a dream, give you some boxes to fill in, and leave you alone with an enormous to-do list.
The Next Bite keeps going.
It helps you decide which parts of your life actually deserve your attention this season, choose one Primary Bet, imagine what success could look like, build a bank of possible actions, organize the next 12 weeks, choose work that matches your capacity today, diagnose what happened when something doesn't get done, and review the season before beginning again with better information.
And because it is undated and reusable, this isn't a workbook you finish once and throw away.
Use it for 12 weeks.
Learn from the season.
Print a fresh copy.
Build the next one.
Repeat.
Inside your 12-week Life Season
THE CEO SUITE
Step out of reactive mode and look at your life like a portfolio.
Sort the areas competing for your attention into:
BUILD — what deserves deliberate growth
MAINTAIN — what needs to stay healthy
REPAIR — what needs stabilising
PAUSE — what you are intentionally not carrying right now
Then choose one Primary Bet for the season.
Because not everything needs to grow at the same time.
THE IMAGINATION AGENT
Before building the plan, imagine where you're actually trying to go.
Create a Season Trailer using prompts like:
- What does life look like now?
- What changes the story?
- What do we see you repeatedly doing?
- What is the Boss Battle?
- What exists at Week 12?
- What becomes possible next?
Then turn that imagined future into observable evidence of success.
This isn't wishful thinking.
It's imagination turned into direction, action, and evidence.
THE BITE MAP
Choose your Elephant — the big goal that deserves this season.
Then turn it into:
1 Elephant
↓
8 supporting goals
↓
64 possible Bites
The 9×9 Bite Map lets you see the whole ambition without expecting yourself to do all of it at once.
And the 64 Bites are possibilities, not obligations.
Some will be completed.
Some will change.
Some will be delegated.
Some will become irrelevant.
The plan serves you — not the other way around.
GOAL SIZING
Not every goal deserves a 64-step plan.
The Next Bite teaches you to distinguish between:
ELEPHANT — needs a map
PROJECT — needs a finish line
MAINTENANCE — needs a rhythm
BITE — needs a verb
So you stop treating “launch my business,” “exercise three times a week,” and “send that email” as if they are the same size of problem.
YOUR 12-WEEK SEASON
Give the next three months a shape:
ACT I — BUILD
Weeks 1–4
Create the conditions the goal needs.
ACT II — MOVE
Weeks 5–8
Turn preparation into visible movement.
ACT III — LAND
Weeks 9–12
Finish, deliver, integrate, and close.
You aren't expected to cram 64 actions into 12 weeks.
Instead, every week gets a meaningful outcome and a small number of active Bites.
THREE OUTCOMES MAXIMUM
Because “everything is important” is not a strategy.
Choose up to three meaningful outcomes and deliberately name:
NOT THIS WEEK.
Sometimes the most productive decision you can make is deciding what will not receive your attention.
GOOD MORNING, CEO.
Every day will not arrive with the same amount of energy.
So instead of pretending it will, choose the mode that matches reality:
RECOVERY
Protect basic function.
MAINTENANCE
Keep essentials moving.
MOMENTUM
Build useful movement.
DEEP WORK
Attack something difficult or high-leverage.
Then choose a Bite that fits the time, energy, and support you actually have.
Capacity is information, not a moral score.
TODAY'S BITE
Hide the rest of the plan.
Choose one executable action.
Give it:
- a reason
- an estimated time
- a clear definition of done
- a starting point
Finish that first.
Then decide whether you want another Bite.
BITE SIZE IT
Still can't start?
Make the action smaller.
Then smaller again.
Ask:
What can I finish in 15 minutes?
What can I finish in 5 minutes?
What is the smallest physical starting action?
Sometimes the correct Bite is simply:
Open the document.
And that counts.
ACCOUNTABILITY WITHOUT SHAME
What happens when you didn't do the thing?
The Next Bite doesn't tell you to “try harder.”
It asks what happened.
Was it:
Too big?
Shrink it.
Blocked?
Find the missing support.
No energy?
Change the mode.
No longer relevant?
Delete it.
Something more important appeared?
Make the CEO decision.
Avoided it?
Shrink, support, or schedule it.
Forgot?
Change the cue.
The goal is not a harsher story about yourself.
The goal is a better next decision.
BOSS BITES
Every meaningful season has a few actions carrying more emotional weight than the others.
Send the pitch.
Name the price.
Launch the thing.
Submit the application.
Have the conversation.
Those are your Boss Bites.
Name them.
Prepare for them.
Clear them.
Then ask:
What did that unlock?
EVIDENCE UNLOCKED
Progress is bigger than “finished everything.”
The workbook helps you notice evidence like:
Finished something
Sent something
Learned something
Made money
Improved a skill
Made a decision
Asked for help
Rested
Returned
Because if you're only looking at the final destination, you can miss the fact that your life is already changing.
COMEBACKS, NOT STREAKS
Missed three days?
The system isn't ruined.
You came back.
Count that.
The Next Bite replaces streak perfection with Comebacks — because the ability to return is more useful than pretending life will never interrupt you.
YOUR WEEKLY CEO BOARD MEETING
Each of the 12 weeks includes a structured review to help you decide:
- What moved?
- What got stuck?
- What became irrelevant?
- What needs support?
- What deserves fewer resources?
- What should be deleted?
- What matters next?
Then leave the meeting with one clear:
CEO DECISION OF THE WEEK.
CLOSE THE SEASON
At the end of 12 weeks, don't immediately rush into the next goal.
Close the loop.
Review:
KEEP
CHANGE
DELETE
CARRY FORWARD
ADD
PROTECT
Archive the evidence.
Then ask:
What deserves another season?
What needs a different size, pace, or support?
Is the Elephant still the Elephant?
Your next season begins with better information.
One purchase. As many seasons as you need.
The Next Bite is:
61 pages
Undated
Reusable
Printable
Tablet-friendly
Fillable
Use it for your next 12 weeks.
Then print or duplicate a clean copy and use it again.
A new season can mean:
a new business goal,
a creative project,
a career shift,
a financial target,
a degree,
a fitness goal,
a move,
a personal reset,
or simply a different chapter of your life.
The season ends.
The system doesn't.
And this is only the beginning.
The workbook is the manual operating system behind a future interactive Next Bite experience being developed to eventually help hold the Bite Bank, remember your season, surface a next action based on your time and capacity, shrink resisted tasks, and guide your weekly review.
For now, the workbook gives you the system.
The future version is being built to help you operate it.
You do not have to finish the elephant today.
You just need to know your next Bite.
Build the season. Run YOUR life. Take the next Bite.
