Ocean Fire, created by John Robert Beck in 2008, was designed to capture the visual effect of a two-panel piece while remaining a unified abstract composition. Broad textured passages of blue, teal, violet, and magenta suggest the movement of water, while bright golden and orange forms streak through the center like sudden bursts of flame or energy. Large overlapping circles add structure and rhythm, creating a layered interaction between fluid motion and geometric balance. The result is a vivid, atmospheric work that feels both elemental and modern, blending the calm of the sea with the intensity of fire.
