Athletes quickly become household names that we hear weekly in our leisure time. Our youth are inundated with stories of athletes that sign multi-million dollar contracts, young stars living in mansions that drive half million dollar cars and garnering the praise of the masses for their athletic prowess.

However, as teachers, parents and leaders- we see the unfortunate side of sports that many don’t have the luxury of seeing. We see the failure of young people chasing the dream that often eludes them. This book will explore practical and applicable strategies that can be implemented in the classroom and beyond to ensure that these students are not just celebrated on the field, but in the classroom.
