Gangwon recruited Park Chung-hyo (34), one of the top-rated goalkeepers in the K-League 2, who played for Gimpo FC. Park built his nest in Gangwon Province on the back of his strong performance in Gimpo last year. Park is a versatile goalkeeper who weighs 1 meter 90 kilograms and has solid physical strength. He has wide range of activities and is good at saving penalty kicks. He is strong in the build-up and accurate kicks are also advantageous.

Park Chung-hyo proved himself with his skills and is back on the stage of the best K-League 1 in Korea. Park Chung-hyo, who joined Gyeongnam FC in 2013, made his name known by playing in 10 league games. Although he did not become a main player until 2015, he moved to Gangneung Citizens' Soccer Team (then Gangneung City Hall) in 2016 and properly announced his value. He contributed to Gangneung City Hall's winning the regular league and ranking second overall in the tournament. In recognition of his excellent performance in the league, he was selected as the 2016 National League MVP and Best Eleven. Based on his strong performance, he moved to Suwon FC in 2017, played in four league games, and solved military problems with Pocheon Citizens' Soccer Team. In 2018, he scored a theater goal in a match against Chuncheon Citizens' Soccer Team in the first round of the championship, which made headlines.

Park was desperate and conquered the K3 league and re-entered the professional stage. As a member of the Yangju Citizens' Soccer Team in the 2021 season, Park scored the last kicker in the penalty shootout in the round of 16 at the FA Cup against Jeonbuk Hyundai, before making good shots for Jeonbuk to emerge as a hero of extraordinary changes. He was selected as the "Best Eleven" in the K3 league as a member of the Busan Transportation Corporation in the 2022 season. Last year, he revealed his presence in a professional stage for the first time. He displayed robust performance with 22 goals scored in 34 league games or more. He recorded the lowest number of goals scored per game among goalkeepers who played in more than 20 K League games. He also recorded the highest number of goals lost in the K League with 18 goals. He was the best contributor for his team to record the minimum number of goals lost in the K League 2.

"The Gangwon team that I experienced last year was a team with many good players and excellent teamwork. I'm happy and honored to be transferred to a good team. Since I'm on a bigger stage, I'll try harder so that I don't become someone else," Park said. "I ask for your support. If you come to the stadium, I'll repay you by always working hard."

Gangwon-do Province hosted photos and video shoots of Park Chung-hyo at Gangwon FC Youth Academy located in Chuncheon, Gangwon State Province. It added meaning with the children's members. The Youth Academy, which opened in June 2022, was established for "Gangwon Staten children's love of soccer and healthy growth through sports." It consists of 400㎡ for one indoor stadium and 1000㎡ for one outdoor stadium out of the total site area of about 2,300㎡. The Youth Academy (Orange Kids House) has facilities where children who love soccer can show their optimal condition and even a space that considers visiting parents. In particular, indoor stadiums are equipped with night lights and heating and cooling facilities, allowing soccer education throughout the year regardless of the weather.

Meanwhile, Gimpo, which sent Park Chung-hyo, recruited Son to fill the gap. Gimpo officially announced the recruitment of Son on Tuesday. Son had been playing as the main goalkeeper of Gyeongnam FC, and this time, he joined Gimpo FC. Son, born in 1991, boasts of his outstanding body as a goalkeeper with a height of 1m91-88kg. Son, who debuted as a professional player in Gyeongnam in 2014, continued to play in Gyeongnam except for military service until 2023.

Gimpo succeeded in strengthening its defense by recruiting Son Jeong-hyeon. "Son Jeong-hyeon is an excellent player who will defend our team's goal, and we expect to elevate the team's defense system to the next level," a Gimpo official said. 사설토토
