Though a full-length play, for examination purposes it is quite easy to follow through one or two patients’ stories and exclude others. Act One stands quite well on its own and deals with the top eight characters only, for instance. It’s easy to reduce still further and to bring the cast numbers down to 4,5 or 6, with occasional doubling.
