Daymer Bay is inspired by a beautiful bay on Cornwall’s north coast. The lace pattern is inspired by gentle waves on the beach. Daymer Bay is worked in the round from the top down and can easily be adjusted for a longer or shorter fit (see pattern notes below).
Sample is shown in size 2 on 122cm/48¾in bust and used 4 balls (with no yarn left).

Bottom circumference: 206cm/82½in 242.5cm/97in
Length: 50.5cm/18¾in 55cm/22in

Tension:
16.5 sts and 26 rounds over 10cm/4in in Chart A using 4mm (UK 8/US 6) needles after blocking.
17 sts and 28 rounds over 10cm/4in in stocking stitch using 3.5mm (UK 9-10/US 4) needles after blocking.

Pattern Notes:
You may need more yarn if correct tension is not achieved. If you’re concerned about running out of yarn, work one repeat less of Chart A. Measure one 14 round repeat of Chart A to determine how much yarn Chart B will require.

Cast on with a shorter circular needle and change to the longer needle as you increase or cast on with the longer circular needle and work magic loop.

For a shorter or longer poncho, work fewer or more repeats of Chart A. You may need less or more yarn.
