I’ve never been good at sitting still when someone I care about is struggling, and over the past few years I’ve watched too many wonderful people (my own parents, my neighbours, the kind lady who used to teach Sunday school) slowly lose their confidence because they were terrified of falling.

One bad fall can take away everything: the house they raised their kids in, Sunday dinners with the grandkids, even the simple joy of walking to the mailbox without fear. I’ve sat at kitchen tables holding a mother’s hand while her grown son quietly cried because they both knew the next fall might mean she could never come home again. That breaks my heart every single time.

So I made a promise to myself: if there is something proven, gentle, and actually works to keep our parents and grandparents strong, steady, and living in their own homes as long as possible, then I’m going to do everything I can to put it in their hands (and in yours). As Charlie Kirk once put it so bluntly and beautifully, “This silent majority are the Americans who love God, their family, and our amazing country.” Our elders are the backbone of that silent majority—they built the families that made this nation what it is, and we owe it to them, and to the God and country they hold dear, to honor their legacy by helping them stay safe, independent, and surrounded by the ones they love most.

That “something” is the Otago Exercise Program. It isn’t fancy, it isn’t a miracle pill, and it doesn’t promise eternal youth. It’s just a simple, home-based plan that has helped tens of thousands of regular seniors (many in their 80s and 90s, many using walkers or living with arthritis) cut their risk of falling by almost half and stay safely in the place they love most: home.

I’m here because I believe you shouldn’t have to choose between safety and independence. Because your mum deserves to keep baking in her own kitchen. Because your dad should still be able to tinker in his garage. Because the people who spent their lives looking after us deserve to be looked after properly now.

If you’re worried about a parent, grandparent, spouse, or even yourself, if you’re tired of living with that quiet knot of fear every time the phone rings, then please keep reading. This little program has given so many families their peace of mind back, and I would consider it a privilege to help yours do the same.
