How to use

1. Follow the included START-HERE guide to install the Companion and load the extension in a compatible desktop browser.
2. Open the extension and select your video.
3. Keep the default Enhanced method selected.
4. Click Process Enhanced & Download and wait for processing to finish.
5. Upload the generated MP4 through TikTok Studio with the extension enabled.

Method names and available features depend on the version installed.

How the method works

The default Enhanced method combines local encoding, MP4 container preparation and TikTok Studio upload adjustments to help preserve the prepared video's quality after publication.

The local encoding step changes the source video. The upload method then aims to avoid additional quality loss from TikTok's processing.

Previous browser-only patches work differently: they modify the MP4 container without re-encoding its video and audio.

TikTok controls the final processing and playback. Results can change when TikTok updates its upload or transcoding pipeline.

Before uploading

Keep the prepared file under 90 MB whenever practical. Treat this as a recommendation, not a guaranteed threshold for quality or reach.

Higher resolution does not automatically mean better visual quality. Source quality, bitrate and TikTok's final processing all matter.

Always keep a backup of your original video.
