Vexon Lumina is a modern optical compressor designed for musical level control, warm analog-style tone, and a fast, intuitive workflow.
Built for vocals, bass, guitars, drums, synths, mix bus and mastering, Lumina goes beyond simple compression. It helps shape how a sound moves, how it sits in a mix, and how much character it carries.
At its core is a smooth program-dependent compression engine that reacts naturally to different material. Short peaks, sustained notes, and dense sources are handled with a response that feels controlled without sounding flat or over-processed.
The four Character modes let you quickly reshape the behaviour of the compressor:
Classic provides a balanced and natural response for general use.
Smooth delivers softer, more polished control for vocals, pads and mastering.
Forward adds presence and energy, helping sounds come forward in a mix.
Clamp offers tighter, faster control for bass, drums and more focused sources.
Lumina also includes a Calibrate system designed to keep your decisions honest. Instead of being misled by louder output, it helps maintain a balanced input/output relationship so you can focus on tone, compression, warmth and feel.
The Warmth control introduces transformer-style colour and harmonic density, while Emphasis shapes how the detector reacts across the frequency spectrum. This keeps the low end under control while preserving clarity and articulation.
With Linked, Dual Mono and Mid/Side (M/S) detection modes, Lumina gives you flexible stereo-aware compression for everything from individual tracks to full mixes.
A responsive analog-style VU meter, real-time info feedback, practical factory presets and user preset saving make Lumina easy to use for producers, musicians, mix engineers and sound designers alike.
