Two pages. Set the number at the top, and everything underneath has to fit inside it.

Page one is the plan. Fifteen categories, already written in, because Christmas is not expensive because of the gifts. It is expensive because of the eleven other things nobody budgets for: stockings, the food for the rest of the week, travel and gas, decorations and the tree, wrapping and tape, cards and stamps, Christmas Eve boxes, parties, outfits, charity. Each line has what you planned, what you spent and what is left, with totals at the bottom.

The fifteenth line is Something you have forgotten, and it is not a joke line. Put ten percent of your total in it. Every year it gets spent, and every year it is the reason the total still holds.

Page two is where it actually went. Date, what it was, who it was for, how much. Twenty-two lines and a total. Write it down the day you spend it, not at the end when you are guessing.

Undated on purpose, so the same file works every year.

US Letter and A4 are both included. Print it as many times as you like, in your own home.

Licensed for personal use in one household. Please do not share or resell the file.
