TIPS FOR PAINTING THEM

Autumn leaf colour layers warm-on-warm — paint a yellow underwash, drop in orange while wet, add scarlet to the tip last. Veins look right when scratched in (just before dry) with a brush handle rather than drawn. Glossy acorn cups need a reserved white highlight.
