Field Brief is a configurable Framer component for building route-readiness briefs from user-selected conditions.

It turns a simple set of dropdown choices into a structured field brief with a generated title, guidance copy, turnaround margin, primary watch area, and suggested kit list.

The component is designed for outdoor brands, route planners, adventure guides, field schools, travel products, safety pages, and editorial landing pages where visitors need more than a static form.

What it does

Users select terrain, season, time outside, and experience level. The component then generates a field brief based on those choices, including:

a custom result title;
route guidance copy;
calculated turnaround margin;
primary risk/watch area;
suggested kit items;
copy-to-clipboard action.

Editable in Framer

The component includes built-in controls for copy, option labels, route logic, colors, height, radius, and responsive breakpoint. You can add, remove, and edit the option lists directly in Framer without rewriting the component.

Customizable logic

Terrain options can define their own result title, result copy, primary watch, margin value, and kit list. Season, time, and experience options can add their own margin values and kit suggestions. The generated result combines the selected options into one clean brief.

Style controls included

You can customize the background, field colors, dropdown menu, text, muted text, accent color, button fill, button text, borders, radius, component height, and layout breakpoint.
