Eight calculators for pricing trash can cleaning from your own year, your own route and your own supplies, not from anyone's price list.

Sheet 1 turns the income you want into an hourly floor, $45.57 per paid route hour in the illustrative example. Sheet 2 costs one can in water, solution, heater fuel and supplies, and sheet 3 turns drive minutes between stops into cans per hour. Sheet 4 finds how far an extra can can be discounted, sheet 5 prices a one-time clean against monthly and quarterly plans, and sheet 6 pays back your rig and gear. Sheet 7 adds up a month of plan customers against the profit you need, and sheet 8 checks whether a finished route day paid your floor.

Every figure is an example for you to overwrite. These are estimates, not tax or legal advice; handle wastewater as your local rules say. Every formula was recalculated and checked against an independent implementation before this shipped.

What is in it

8 calculators, one per sheet. Overwrite the blue cells with your own numbers and everything else follows — nothing is locked, there are no macros, and it opens in Excel, Numbers, LibreOffice and Google Sheets.

  • Hourly floor rate — What must an hour on your route earn to pay you and the business?
  • Supplies cost per can — What do water, solution, heater fuel and supplies cost for one can?
  • Route density — How many cans an hour does a route give, once drive minutes between stops are counted?
  • Extra-can discount — How far can you discount a second or third can at the same stop and still cover it?
  • One-time vs plan pricing — What should a one-time clean, a monthly plan and a quarterly plan cost for the same home?
  • Rig payback — How many months until the trailer or rig and gear pay for themselves?
  • Monthly route profit — What does a month of plan customers leave after every cost, against the profit you need?
  • Did this route pay — Once the route day is done, did it pay your floor?

Every formula was checked

This pack contains 72 formulas. Before it was published, every one of them was recalculated by a spreadsheet engine and compared against an independent implementation of the same arithmetic written in Python. All 72 agreed to within a cent, and the workbook carries a Verification sheet saying so.

That is an unusual thing to be able to claim about a spreadsheet, and it is the main reason to buy this one rather than download a free template. A formula that looks right and is wrong is worse than no formula at all, because you will act on it.

What each calculator assumes

There is a sheet listing this, because a calculator that hides its assumptions is just a number generator:

  • Every working week looks the same. Driving between stops is route time and is paid; sales and billing are unpaid hours you enter. The tax set-aside is a share you enter, not a computed tax.
  • Every can takes the same water, solution and heater time. Prices are your own receipts. Truck and rig fuel for driving is a vehicle cost on sheets 6 to 8, not a per-can supply.
  • Every stop has the same cans and every drive between stops takes the same minutes. Drive time to the first stop and back from the last is left out; if it matters on your route, add those hours to the route hours yourself.
  • An extra can at the same stop adds only its cleaning minutes and supplies; setup and drive are paid once by the first can. Your floor already pays your business costs.
  • Plan customers sit on your route, so they carry no detour. Prices are rounded up to the cent. Margins are your own choice; a lower plan margin is a price for steady work, not a rule.
  • Cans a month and price per can hold steady from the first month. Rig resale value and financing interest are left out. The vehicle cost per can is your own figure.
  • Route miles stay the same as customers are added, which holds only while new customers sit on existing streets. Business costs and profit needed are sheet 1's year over 12. Wastewater handling follows your local rules.
  • Business costs and unpaid hours are already inside the floor from sheet 1, so this sheet subtracts only the costs that came with the route day.

What this is not

Not financial, tax or legal advice, and not a recommendation to buy, sell, borrow or sign anything. These are calculators: they show what a choice costs, not which choice is right for you. Where a published rate or threshold is used it is the one current when the pack was built — those change, the arithmetic does not.

Honest about the format

One .xlsx workbook, 8 calculator sheets plus Start Here, Assumptions and Verification. Not a PDF, not a physical product, not a Notion template. Available immediately after purchase; nothing ships.
