Short Description:

Someone has been asked to give the eulogy — or you want to help someone who has. This guided, browser-based tool helps gather memories, find what you actually want to say, and see how long it will take to speak — so you arrive with something true and unmistakably your own. No installation. No generic AI eulogy.

Detailed Description:

Someone has died, and you've been asked to give the eulogy — or you want to take some of that weight off someone who has. It's a strange kind of pressure: too much to remember, and no clear sense of what actually belongs in the five or six minutes you'll have to speak.

Remembrance Builder is a guided, browser-based tool built around a simple idea: find what you want to say, say what matters, and don't say everything. It walks through six short stages — the person, gathering memories, finding the center of what you want to say, choosing what belongs in the room, shaping it in time, and speaking it — without ever asking you to decide everything at once.

Capture comes first and stays separate from deciding. Save a story, a habit, a phrase you can still hear them say, a small detail, a formative moment — in any order, in fragments if that's all you have. Nothing is judged as it comes in.

When you're ready, the tool shows you the whole shape of what you've gathered and asks the one real question: if people carried away only one thing, what should it be? That answer can change as you go.

Choosing what to say out loud uses three simple states — "In the Eulogy", "Maybe", and "Keep" — never delete. Material that doesn't make it into the spoken eulogy isn't lost; it's preserved, because it still matters, just maybe not today.

The most distinctive part is the timeline: every piece you choose gets an estimated speaking duration and a place in the sequence, so you can watch the shape of the whole eulogy take form in time, not just on the page — and see exactly where the minutes are going if you need to shorten it.

Choose a "Speaking Outline" for cues and structure, or a "Speaking Draft" for complete wording, then generate a "Speaker Copy": large type, generous spacing, and an optional on/off toggle for estimated timing markers, so it works whether you want to speak from memory or read every word.

No installation is required. Your work is saved automatically in your browser.

This tool works entirely offline once opened — capture a thought at the airport, add another with no signal on the plane, and rearrange it in a hotel room that night. It's built for a real family member or friend organizing their thoughts under real time pressure, not a demo.

It won't replace your memories with a generic, AI-written eulogy. It won't generate polished, generic prose that could have been written about anybody. What it does is help you find the eulogy that's already in your own memories, and get it into a shape you can actually stand up and speak — in your own words, with your own voice, and — if there's room for it — your own sense of humor about the person you're remembering.
