You're not too angry. You've just never been taught what to do with it.

Sometimes anger feels out of control or impulsive, coming out faster and bigger than we meant it to. Sometimes we've learned to push it down and swallow it instead. But none of that feels good, and none of it actually helps.

This meditation does something different. It doesn't try to make your anger go away. It helps you understand what it's trying to tell you, and then gently move it into a place that feels more comfortable in your body.

Because anger isn't a flaw. It's a signal. It means a boundary was crossed, something mattered, or your nervous system is remembering a moment that once felt unsafe. When you learn to listen to it instead of fighting it, everything changes.

In this 12-minute guided practice, you will:

  • Meet your anger where it actually lives, in the heat, the tension, the tightness in your body, without judgment or shame.
  • Discover what your anger is protecting, and why that matters.
  • Learn a simple, powerful breath and body technique to loosen your grip and come back to yourself, so you can respond from a place that's yours, instead of reacting from the spin.
  • Calm down and get back in the driver's seat of your system so you can make an authentic choice about what to do next.

Who this is for:

Anyone who feels their anger and wishes they had a healthier way to move through it. Whether your anger feels too big, too frequent, or like something you've been holding in for far too long, this practice meets you exactly where you are.

What you get:

A professionally guided audio meditation you can return to any time anger shows up, whether it's fresh and fiery or quietly simmering under the surface. Practice it in the moment, or build it into your regular self-regulation routine.

Created by Sarah Ferland Doherty, MSW, RSW, trauma therapist and founder of Asentriarc Wellness, using the STEER Method, a nervous system regulation framework built on polyvagal theory, somatic experiencing, and attachment science.
