HOW IT WORKS

Purchase the listing.

Download the PDF access page from your Etsy account.

Click the download button inside the PDF.

Open the template in Canva.

Choose one of the three included designs.

Edit the name and age.

Download the completed design.

Print it on quality cardstock or photo paper.

Cut the topper by hand or with a cutting machine.

Attach it to a cake topper stick using hot glue or strong craft glue.

Allow the glue to dry before placing the topper into the cake.

DOWNLOAD OPTIONS

FOR CUTTING BY HAND

Download the design as:

• PDF Print for high-quality printing

• PNG for a single flattened image

Print the design on cardstock and carefully cut around the outside edge using scissors or a precision craft knife.

FOR CRICUT PRINT THEN CUT

Download the design as a PNG.

Select a transparent background when available and needed.

Upload the PNG into Cricut Design Space.

Resize the topper to your desired finished size.

Use the Print Then Cut feature.

Attach the cut topper to your cake topper stick.

Cricut, Cricut Design Space, cutting machines, printers, and craft supplies are not included.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES

• Printer

• Bright white cardstock, heavy presentation paper, or photo paper

• Scissors or precision craft knife

• Cricut or another cutting machine, optional

• Cake topper stick, lollipop stick, or sturdy paper straw

• Hot glue or strong craft glue

• Optional backing cardstock

• Optional foam adhesive for dimensional layering

PRINTING TIPS

• Print using your printer’s highest-quality setting.

• Select Actual Size or 100% unless you intentionally want to resize it.

• Complete a test print before using your final paper.

• Use bright white paper for the most vibrant colors.

• Allow freshly printed ink to dry before cutting.

• Print a second copy or add a cardstock backing layer for a sturdier topper.

• Make sure the topper is completely dry before placing it in the cake.

OPTIONAL LAYERED TOPPER

For a thicker or dimensional cake topper:

Print and cut the main design.

Cut an additional backing shape from coordinating cardstock.

Attach the printed design to the backing.

Add foam adhesive between selected layers for extra dimension.

Glue the cake topper stick securely to the back.

Cover the stick with a second backing layer for a clean finish.

Layering is optional and may require additional cardstock or design preparation.
