The Glory of God Made Simple
When Moses asked, "Shew me thy glory," God answered with His goodness and His name — and then the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle so completely that Moses could not even enter (Exodus 40:34-35).
The Glory of God Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through the glory of God from Exodus to Revelation: the weight of glory on the mountain, the cloud that filled the tabernacle, the shining face of Moses, the glory that departed through sin and returned to the repentant, the Word made flesh, the transfigured Christ, the unveiled face of 2 Corinthians 3:18 — beholding the glory of the Lord and being changed from glory to glory — the glory hidden in suffering, the glory shining through the church, and the day when there is no night because the glory of God lights the city and we shall see His face.
Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father whose goodness and name are the substance of glory; Jesus Christ — Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior — the brightness of His glory in human flesh; and the Holy Spirit, who alone fills the surrendered and transforms the beholding from glory to glory. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.
Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Read slowly. Lift your eyes.
