Everything you need to feel prepared and confident to feed your baby
Feeding your baby can be a really emotive subject. You might be coming with hopes and plans or fears and low expectations. This series of videos is designed to give you the information you need to get prepared for the feeding journey you want to have.
This course focuses on breastfeeding but also includes sections on expressing and bottle feeding so that you have the right information to support you, whatever your journey.
The hours after you birth your baby are a tough time to learn a whole new skill! You are likely exhausted, feeling some pain or discomfort and maybe anxious about getting settled with your baby. That is a lot going on in a short time as you transition from pregnant, birth, postnatal.
Whatever your hopes/dreams/plans/thoughts are around feeding your baby this will help you.
We will think about the benefits of breastfeeding, how to get it right and what you can do to reduce or overcome the common challenges.
But breastfeeding isn't the long term goal for everyone, so I will also talk expressing, how to do it and when to start, as well as how you can bottle feed a baby to help them keep control and be comfortable during a feed.
You will also learn about the differences between breastmilk and formula and what to consider if you are choosing a formula for your baby.
I have been teaching parents since 2013 and through workshops, baby classes, 1-1s and my own three children I know there is never a one size fits all when it comes to babies.
I will give you all the information you need, in bite sized chunks, so you can do things in a way that works best for you. I am not telling you a specific way to do this but helping you make sense of all the noise around feeding choices so you can make the right choices for you and your baby.
