Unique Zipper Pouches
Tired of zippered pouches that need curves on one end and tabs on the other? Or tabs on both? Introducing the Unique Zipper Pouches! This set of three pouches has a method I developed to connect the raw ends of the zipper directly to the sides. No curves or tabs required. There are three sizes: Small (7" W x 5 1/2"H x 2"D), Medium (8" W x 6 1/2"H x 2 1/2"D) and Large (9 1/2" W x 7 1/2"H x 3"D). They even nest together for gift giving and storage.
The pouches are easy to make because the instructions are the same for all three. Just change the size of the pattern pieces and the length of the zipper. That means quick and easy assembly for fall festivals and holiday markets. Plus, they have flat bottoms and can stand on their own with a stabilizer added to the bottom. My testers found that their zippers were straighter, not wavy, and had the beautiful ends with this method.
The pattern is on sale for $8US. It includes both Letter and A4 sizes for printing and SVGs for all three sizes. All three can be made with just 2/3 yd. of 44" fabric or a roll of 18" x 54" vinyl and cork plus 2/3 yd. for lining.
