Tunisian in the Round Zoom Class on April 27, 2025 at 1pm PDT/4pm EDT
Learn Tunisian Crochet in the Round!
This is a 90 minute live class taught via zoom.
Class is April 27, 2025 at 1pm PDT/4 pm EDT.
Class size is limited to 8 participants.
Note: this is not a beginners class. See below.
Learning how to do Tunisian crochet in the round opens up a whole new world of fun projects and colorwork. From hats to sweaters, a lot of patterns use Tunisian crochet in the round. Tunisian in the round uses a double ended hook and 2 strands of yarn.
During this class, we will create a simple coffee cup cozy. This small project will teach us how to work in the round without any shaping. By the end of this 90 minute class, you will be comfortable with the mechanics of tunisian in the round.
Experience level: You should already be comfortable with the basics of Tunisian crochet including forward pass, return pass, Tunisian simple stitch, foundation row and binding off.
Materials Needed
Yarn: You will need DK or worsted weight yarn in two colors- about 15 yds/m per color. It will be easier if these colors are have a lot of contrast. I suggest one neutral (white/gray) and one fun color.
Hook: 6.0mm (J) double ended hook. Tunisian crochet in the round uses a double ended hook with the same size on both ends. For beginners, I recommend this Clover hook because its short length makes it easier to handle for a small project but any double ended hook or two interchangeable hooks with a cable will do.
You will receive an email with the zoom link and the class hand out a week prior to the class.
