Kindergarten Art Lesson Primary Line Art Project Kindergarten Line Art Activity
This Bird Line Art Project makes the element of art line fun and approachable for Kindergarten to Grade 3. Students draw their own stylized bird, fill the background with expressive lines, then bring it to life with oil pastels and tempera paint cakes or watercolor paints.
It is made for classroom teachers, homeschool parents and art specialists. Kids explore the concept of line in a playful, low-stress way that encourages individuality and imagination. It fits springtime, bird units or an elements of art unit, and the worksheets, rubric and reflection pages are designed with K to 3 literacy in mind.
