Xerenia K’nani and her shattered band of rebels have achieved the impossible. The Council’s grip on the western sectors is broken, its legions scattered, its symbols defiled. The spark of rebellion has become a fragile flame. Now, the hard work begins: building a new world from the ashes.

But peace is a phantom. From within, new threats rise. The Purists, radical former rebels, see compromise as betrayal and Xerenia’s leadership as weakness. They demand a bloody reckoning, a purge of all Council taint. From without, enigmatic strangers appear. The Verdant, survivors of a pristine biosphere, possess the means to heal the poisoned land, but view the surface dwellers as contaminated barbarians unworthy of salvation.

And beneath it all, a clock ticks. The Council’s fall has triggered its final, mindless contingency: The Automated Legion. Buried for generations, limitless armies of war machines are now awakening, marching without purpose or pity, set to cleanse the continent of all life.

As famine, disease, and political strife threaten to tear her fragile coalition apart, Xerenia faces an impossible choice. To unite her people, she must confront not just external annihilation, but the darkness within their own hearts. She must forge alliances with former enemies, confront the ghosts of her own past, and discover the terrible truth behind the Council’s rise.
