The Venetian Violin Concerto Album by Julia Bono
The Venetian Violin Concerto by Julia Bono takes you on a luminous symphonic journey through Venice, where violin and orchestra intertwine in the spirit of Vivaldi. Each movement evokes a facet of the watery city’s soul — from the shimmering canals and cloistered courtyards to the noble grandeur of St. Mark’s Square.
The concerto opens and closes with Prelude and Postlude: Venetian Violins, framing a cycle of reverie and reflection. Between them unfold the Venetian scenes: Gondola Reverie, Echoes of Vivaldi, Rippling Waters, St. Mark's Square, Cloistered Dances, Garden Serenade and Noble Thoughts.
Recorded in the tradition of the Baroque masters yet voiced with modern clarity, Julia Bono’s delightful Venetian Violin Concerto leads the listener through light, water and memory in an illuminated celebration of Venice’s glorious and timeless music.
