Reading Hello Tree gave me something I had never expected, the chance to see my father from where he stood instead of where I had stood as a child. It awakened a longing to tell my dad that he mattered and how deeply I love him. To do so, I had to revisit my childhood, face old emotions and perceptions, and try to capture feelings that are difficult to express in ink. That journey became...
