Enemies Made Simple

“Love boldly. Bless freely. Overcome evil with good.” Enemies Made Simple is a Bible-first guide to the hardest command Jesus ever gave: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). Across fourteen Scripture-led chapters, Kimani Upshur, M.Ed. unpacks what the command really means and what it does not — not approval of evil, not blind trust, not forced reconciliation — and how God loved you while you were still His enemy (Romans 5:8). Learn to pray for persecutors, refuse revenge, overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21), forgive before any apology comes, set biblical boundaries, bless in action, and lay every case before the just Judge. Includes the Joseph pattern (Genesis 50:20), David and Saul, Stephen's prayer (Acts 7:60), a conclusion, fourteen Q&A, and a closing prayer. Prayer is Trinitarian throughout: to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit. No pop psychology — Scripture leads, and the Holy Spirit does the work.
