The pattern is designed in 5 different sizes ranging from children to large adults. It also includes instructions on how to adjust the sock length, allowing you to create a shorter or longer fit to suit your personal preference. The pattern includes full colour charts and a schematic.


YARN

MC: 1 (1, 1) (1, 2) 100g skeins OR 1 (3, 3) (4, 5) 25g skeins Susan Crawford Vintage Lock

(4ply / fingering, 75% Pure Lonk Shearling Wool / 25% Nylon). 378 metres (414 yards) / 100 grams in Atwood.

CC: 1 (1, 1) (1, 1) 25g skein Susan Crawford Vintage Lock

(4ply / fingering, 75% Pure Lonk Shearling Wool / 25% Nylon). 378 metres (414 yards) / 100 grams in Angelica.

Amount of yarn used (see sizing and yardage chart for size specific information):

o MC: 78 - 390 m / 85 - 427 yds.

o CC: 7 – 33 m / 8 – 36 yds.

Good substitutions would include any yarn of a similar weight that is suitable for socks.


NEEDLES

2.25 mm (US 1) DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge.


GAUGE

34 stitches and 43 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in worked in stranded colourwork in the round, after blocking.

34 stitches and 46 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in worked in stocking stitch in the round, after blocking.

We obtained this gauge using 2.25mm needles.

If necessary, change needle size to obtain gauge.

Darning/tapestry needle.

Stitch marker (optional).

Waste yarn (optional).
