Leather Gate Story

'I recount this life of mine at the end of my days, in the year 1591, as the sun sets over the Bosporus. This remembrance of things past is for my own peace of mind rather than for posterity, for I have no reason to believe anyone would wish to read my ramblings. I need to add that this record of my life’s thoughts and regrets has been many years in the making, stopping, and starting like a drunkard’s song. As such it will be amusing to some, cacophonous to others, and for the very few, equally drunk by life’s adventures, perhaps even sweet.'

A Christian man and a Jewish woman meet in Venetian Crete and their lives change forever.  A bitter-sweet story set against a  backdrop of ignorance, where the human spirit rises above time and place to transcend and love.
