Yarn Required
RiverKnits Northampton Shear Leicester Longwool (150m / 50g) or suitable* sock yarn with good contrast between MC and CC. MC: 120m / 40g of Lamport (blue)
CC: 90m / 30g of Astcote (silver)
Sizes
One size. Finished circumference of 18 cm / 7” to fit hand circumference 19 - 21 cm / 7.5” - 8.25”.
Gauge
36 stitches and 32 rounds in stranded colourwork pattern make a 10cm square after blocking.
Needles
Main needles used for colourwork: 2.5mm or size required to obtain gauge, circular needle with minimum cable length of 80cm, or preferred needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round.
Smaller needles for ribbing, heel, and toe: 2mm or smaller size relative to gauge needles, circular needle with minimum cable length of 80cm, or preferred needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round.
