Photographer Steve Mansfield-Devine has never sought out protests as a subject, but they have occasionally found him. This mixture of black & white and colour images (most shot on film) document demonstrations in London in the 1970s and 80s, and later in France in the early 2000s. But they are about the people more than the issues.
