Millimodel GWS3 Great Western Railway goods train

Millimodel GWS3 set Great Western Railway 45xx class 2-6-2T loco and goods train. 1/200 scale.

This is a 2008 designed card kit to cut out and assemble which builds to a complete goods train measuring approximately 10” long with included track base. Comprising 45xx class Churchward 2-6-2T locomotive, open wagon, container wagon with container, two varieties of goods van, brake van and track base. This model represents a typical small goods train circa 1935.

Several examples of this class of loco and the later 55xx class with larger side tanks are preserved, some examples of the similar wagons are also preserved on several heritage railways.

The model follows the style of the 1940s and 1950s Micromodels railway kits, which comprised six postcards contained in a paper wrapper.

The paper wrapper (page 1) has the instructions which you only need to print out if you wish to present the kit in the unbuilt form.

These model kits are intended for experienced modellers and are detailed and small in size. Good eyesight or magnification is required and steady hands!

Millimodels are intended to fill some of the gaps in the Micromodels railways range, with railways that were not represented by them and also some of the smaller subjects. In addition, it has been decided to make some sets, at least, as whole trains rather than sets of locomotives.
