Nuffield is a delicate pennant shaped shawl with alternating garter stitch stripes and lace sections. The shawl is named after Nuffield College in Oxford, where I was reminded we should always have time to smell the flowers.

One size, large

Frida Fuchs SCHNIEKE Single (MC, 70% merino, 30% silk, 400 m/100 g) and Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (CC, 100 % merino, 366 m/100 g), or other fingering weight yarn. Shown in colors Hanami and Saffron.

3 skeins in MC and 1 skein in CC.

1312 yards/1200 m of MC and 93 yards/85 m of CC.

US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles or needles that give you the right gauge.

23 sts x 42 rnds = 4x4’’/10x10 cm in garter st (after blocking).

Stitch marker and tapestry needle.

Used techiniques
Lace, short rows, picot bind-off.

The lace has both written and charted instructions.
