IGCSE Booklet 34 - Vectors | Original 20-page PDF
Download Dr Taylan Çeltik’s original 20-page IGCSE Booklet 34 - Vectors, covering column vectors, magnitude, addition/subtraction, scalar multiples, ratios, position vectors and geometric vector arguments.
This is the original teaching booklet, retaining its historical question numbers, diagrams, equations and included selected worked examples. It is not a newly authored complete solutions pack. Digital PDF download only.
A separate clarification PDF is included. Page 2, scalar multiplication: multiplying a vector by k changes its magnitude by the factor |k|. It increases only when |k| is greater than 1, decreases when 0 is less than |k| and |k| is less than 1, and becomes zero when k = 0. A negative k reverses direction for a nonzero vector. Page 13, Question 1(b): the question asks for angles to the nearest degree. The unrounded angles are approximately 147.4795906° and 32.5204094°, so the required answers are 147° and 33°. Do not double-round 147.5° to 148°. Page 14, Question 1(f)(i): p is requested as a column vector. Its entries are (0, 24), rather than the scalar 24 alone. The matching recording writes the correct column vector.
Historical scanned worked examples are softer than the typed text. All page content remains in its original positions.
Use the exact question/page references in each matching video description. The booklet includes further practice beyond each selected recording. Spiral learning connects these skills with earlier number, algebra, graph and geometry ideas.
