'I could never have imagined a bond like ours was on the cards for me. At the time of our reconnection, we had both recently come out of long-term relationships. I was two weeks heartbroken. My life as I knew it was falling apart. Rose was two years single, recovered and thriving. Our friendship was an escape for me. A reprieve from my crumbling reality. We did all sorts of things together. One of the best times was a sunset beach picnic, where we drank wine, ate cheese and crackers and Rose gave me my first tarot card reading.'
