English

The story of the Diele surname: a surname with an ancient sound and the two theories that explain it, one bright and one dark, the Arbëresh communities of the South, the first written trace and a name whose spelling kept changing, the map of the Dieles and related surnames, the German “Diele” that has nothing to do with it, and an honest page about the coat of arms.

At the end, a family tree to fill in and a surname scroll to print.
