I've always wanted a yoke neck sweater but find colourwork slow and challenging. So slip stitch knitting was the answer for me. This design was inspired by my [Cold Pale Moon Shawl][1] which I love to wear on a chilly day. I was keen to create myself a sweater to wear on my dog walk, something to keep more than just my neck warm!

More about mosaic (slipped stitch) knitting!!
Do you dream of making yoke neck sweaters but find colourwork overwhelming?
Mosaic knitting is much simpler!! The pattern is made by slipping snitches so you only work with one colour at a time, and you don't need to carry the second colour just leave it at the BOR until you need it!! Just like knitting stripes!
And it gives an amazing effect!

**CONSTRUCTION:**
The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down. Short rows are added to shape the neckline and back, and if all option short rows are completed then the back of the sweater is longer than the front. The mosaic yoke is worked without increases. The sleeves and body are separated and worked in the round. The sleeves are designed to be full length with a loose fit mosaic cuff. If you prefer a more tapered sleeve you can knit your sleeve full length, omitting the mosaic section and instead making some additional decreases. If you omit the mosaic section, you can make your sleeves any length.
